The bending or shear load cell is used in dosing systems, medium-sized platform scales, silos, floor weighing systems, including electronic scales for weighing animals.
Electronic scales are most often equipped with strain gauge weight sensors (strain gauge). Depending on the type of balance and operating conditions for measuring the force transmitted by the receiving platform to the weight sensor, the appropriate type of load cell is selected. There are several basic types of strain gauges depending on the type of elastic element and the applied strain force. Consider a load cell – a beam for bending / shear.
Load cell – shear beam The most common type of load cell is widely used in the construction of platform and bunker scales. The sensor is fixed on the load-lifting device by a bolted connection and rests on the ceiling (floor) with a height-adjustable support leg. By changing the height of the support leg, you can offset the difference in level of the base on which the scale is mounted.
