Feedback from Ilyichevsk Oil and Fat Plant

Representatives of the company PJSC “Illichivsk Oil and Fat Plant” turned to TOV “Kiev Weight Plant” with
the need for examination and diagnosis of metal, reinforced concrete structures of carriage tensometric scales.

Inspection and diagnostics of carriage scales from TOV “Kiev Weight Plant” included:

1. Carrying out technical diagnostics of foundations, platforms, weights, access roads with determination (non-destructive testing) of the classes of metal structures and concrete, the presence of corrosion of metal and concrete, the presence of microcracks in welded joints of nodes, leveling of tracks.
2. Static load testing of metal structures.
3. Conducting flaw detection of welds.
4. Calculation of metal structures taking into account corrosion of their elements and reinforced concrete structures taking into account their damage from static load in comparison with experimental data.
5. Diagnostics of strain gauge equipment.

After the diagnosis, an opinion was issued from the Kiev Weight Plant, which recommended the further operation, strengthening and repair of metal, reinforced concrete structures, driveways, and other elements of the scales, as well as a proposal for the introduction of more advanced structures.

All recommendations were discussed with the client and were accepted by the customer for their further implementation.

A responsible approach to the formulation of the problem and its implementation yielded only a positive result, as a result of 100% operability of the carriage scales.
